Mental Health

Mental health is something of a stigma in many cultures, territories and families. Even though public health has tried to get it out in the open that mental health is nothing to be ashamed of, we still meet people everyday who don't know what you are talking about. They have no personal experiences to fall back on, whether it be them or anyone they know.

At times this can be very disheartening to one in the sense that they feel they are all alone, especially if someone in these places is a part of the community or family structure. This page will link you to the various disorders (DSM term, not mind) that I personally have experience with, either myself or family/loved ones. When I do not have that advantage I will fall back on research and my degrees in Psychology.  (if for some reason I have missed something, or something has changed and you notice please email me so I can fix it. I will be including references to any research done due to lack of my own experience)

In my humble opinion, Mental Health issues are as common as the flu. Some may disagree with me on that note, but between my own history, my family history and the community that I live and work in it is very common. Not everyone knows about it personally, but just like the flu everyone knows about it and needs a professional to tell you when you have it.
